The Law Offices of Julia K. Carpenter, P.C.

Julia K. Carpenter has concentrated her practice in the area of family and matrimonial law in Lake County, Illinois since 1994.

Prior to creating Julia K. Carpenter, P.C., Ms. Carpenter was a partner in the Lake County offices of one of the country’s largest matrimonial and family law firms. As such, she has vast experience negotiating and trying complex family law issues such as business and other asset valuation disputes, tracing and segregating non marital assets, support and child custody matters. Ms. Carpenter has been appointed by the Courts to represent children’s interests in adoption, custody and visitation disputes. While she advocates for reasoned settlement of matters, she understands that settlement is not always possible. In those instances, her unique legal background and knowledge of the law afford her clients a truly prepared and seasoned trial attorney. She handles family law matters at both the trial and appellate level.
